Dispensary

This is a medical service facility. Treatment and drugs dispensed to the patients are minimaly charged. Drugs are of quality levels and supplied by KEMSA. The target groups are Materi Girls fraternity and immediate community members. Medical laboratory tests undertaken entirely cover a wide spectrum of various illnesses that fall within the armphits of a quality dispensary unit. Referral cases are taken to our sister Nkubu hospital. There are two lady nurses and two lab technicians who reside within the school compound. Consequently, effective and quality services are available within the shortest time possible.

Science Labs

We have five(5) modern science laboratories. They are fully equipped with standard, quality apparatus, alongside with required chemical reagents making learning process more interesting and concepts easily understandable. Provisions of such desired facility promotes performance of science subjects and enables the science teachers to complete syllabus coverage in time. Hence revision time is effectively used by teachers for even better performance.

Computer Labs

Computer skills and knowledge are necessary modern tools and engradients for technological and scientific development. Thus Materi Girls school is endowed with two computer labs with over 40 computer units with all the necessary accessories. The school has sufficient number of computer trained teachers with a wealth of experience that lays down the right and proper foundation of future progress in computer learning.

Resource Center

The Resource Center at Materi Girls Centre stands as a vibrant nexus of knowledge and support, welcoming both students and members of the local community. Here, amidst a well-appointed space featuring access to a diverse range of informational materials, including books, periodicals, and digital resources, individuals can delve into subjects spanning literature, science, history, and technology. Our dedicated staff, comprised of knowledgeable professionals ranging from librarians to research assistants, are on hand to provide personalized assistance, guiding individuals through research endeavors and facilitating access to digital resources and comfortable study areas. Committed to fostering academic excellence and community engagement, our Resource Center serves as a beacon of empowerment, offering a space where all can explore, learn, and grow.

Library

The school library is classic in its very form and well stocked with learning and teaching resource materials. It is a rich reservoir of the knowledge seriously sought for by students in the languages development and communication skills. Its door is open to all students throughout the week. It is managed by a well-trained librarian with computer skill and knowledge to offer a seamless flow of efficient services delivery.

Chapel

The presence of a tabernacle in the school chapel makes us unique. We embrace ecumenism hence students and teachers of different faiths have a common worship three times a term in the chapel under the celebration of the school chaplain. The Christian Union, SDA and Muslim students and teachers congregate in their respective worship halls provided by the school. Thus the school takes care of Materi Girls’ fraternity spiritual nourishment and well-being.
